The vehicle started to blind, the dash went out and the entire vehicle shut down as I turned on my block. When I got back in the car I got a Transmission Fault (limited gear message). I stopped at a gas station to look under the hood and smelled something strange. We noticed a louder than normal sound like the engine was revved. I was driving my sister to the airport in December. Took it back immediately and still no issue with the oil change. Engine System Fault Range Rover P000E-00 I get the code P000E-00, this started whist overtaking at 70mph and there was immediate loss of power, this was resolved when I parked up and continued after ign on/off. In November I got another scheduled oil change. It never occurred that it was another issue and the dealer didn't do a full inspection. I took it back to the dealer and I was assured that their was no oil leak. Tonight on way home charging system fault came on dash. I had a oil change in July and the after affect was fluid in my driveway. Range Rover 元22 (3rd Gen) - Battery Charging Issue - I was parked on a lake having a romantic. Needed a battery I had it replaced by an non dealer service shop. I don't get any dashboard lights, other than the "Battery Low Start Engine" text in the dash info screen.I think I killed my car. Swapping it out is fairly easy, I just don't want to purchase a new one if I don't need to. It seems that the alternator isn't charging the battery itself.Ĭould you help me understand what you mean by updating the ECU firmware?Ĭan I just get a different controller for the alternator or do I need a whole new alternator? The dealership said I should only use LR alternators, but those are $$. But it will only last a couple days it seems and then it won't start. I can trickle charge my battery using a battery charger and then the vehicle will start up and run well. Interstate said the AGM battery was fine, and the test of the charging system was fine they said. At that point the battery didn't seem to be charging.
My vehicle seemed to charge and run fine up until about 2 months ago. I didn't do anything as far as telling the ECU what kind of battery I had or anything - the previous battery was an Interstate non-AGM.
Interstate let me purchase an AGM at a reduced price from them (prorated). I removed the alternator and had it rebuilt. About 11 months ago my Interstate battery failed, what I later found was probably due to the alternator. Could you help me understand the solution a little bit better? I have a 2011 LR$ with 86,000 miles.
